Little touches that matter.

Andrea's bike is moving along nicely.

There are a few things that I do that I feel separates my bikes from the standard fare. Here you can see the stainless brake bolt anchor I made for her fork. This is an area that takes extreme load and using your everyday stainless is not good enough. This bolt holds the front brake and IMO is super important. I do not trust the steerer tube taking all that load. This is made from 17-4 stainless and is the same material the better drop outs are made from. It goes all the way through the fork and supplies an anchor point for the recessed bolt in the back. Also it will remain unpainted and help keep the paint from chipping when installing the brake and fenders.

I also made her seatpost and stem. Did some cutting on the seatpost lug. I think it looks kind of cool.

Next up is the construction of the actual frame.
