Better late than never...
I fell a bit behind this year due to a crazy summer.
In turn I tried really hard to catch back up but still wanted this last CX bike done in Sept. I do not see that happening! Anyway I hope to have it done by weeks end.
Today I used the Deckel for the first time. It is set-up with my new system of mitering the chainstays without being attached to the drop outs. Very cool design since it allows for the slot of the drop out to compensate for any variation in length (like under 1mm is a huge difference in length). Looking forward to getting this system quicker after I have done all styles of chainstays and have a sheet for all the different settings.
Here is right out of the mill and checking the tire clearance.

Back to work
Had a marathon day in the shop trying to get Wade's bike done.
Today I welded Wade's bike, brazed the seat stays, bridge, canti studs, and cable hanger. Then did some finish work on the drop outs. It was great to be back to work and getting stuff done.
Here is a picture I snapped when the people got out of the way at Interbike. The Edge Booth was insane and packed with people the entire time. Heard over and over is it was like a mini NAHBS. Kind of cool. I did not spend much time there but stopped by every now and then.
Nice to be back!!

Stem's
This is the stem for Greg's road bike in Canada.
I was a bit concerned about Greg and his stem length. He changed his riding position 3 times during the wait for his frame to be built. He then changed his mind many times about the style bike he wanted. I felt the stem needed to be something he felt confident about and waiting until he rode the bike. It only took him a week but glad we waited for the size and style. A 110mm zero rise stem in the making:
Also Wade's fork for his cross bike. Should wrap that up just after Interbike. After interbike I will get to go until NAHBS next year without needing to travel.

Bikes at Interbike. Mine will be at Edge Composites.
It would be impossible to have a booth at Interbike but it is always nice to have product there. Others feel Interbike is a waste of time since it is all retailers and industry folks.
I actually sell a good amount of bikes to people in the industry. Some are shop owners some employees, some plain old industry folks. Mostly they are people I like to say "get it". They want a bike that is unique to them and not something that is made to hang on the wall. This bike will get tons of miles and I can not wait to see it dirty. The photo is not a Chuck U. photo but I also did not want to spoil the show. Much better photos after Interbike. The seat post is being borrowed for the photo. The carbon post was made very last minute since it is a new lay-up and I did not receive it until this week.
